Qatar Airways Cargo Expands Fleet with Boeing 777-8F Order

Qatar Airways Cargo, a leading global air cargo carrier, has announced a significant expansion of its fleet with an order for up to 100 Boeing 777-8F aircraft. This order includes 34 firm orders and options for 16 additional aircraft.

The Boeing 777-8F is the latest and most advanced freighter aircraft, offering state-of-the-art technology and enhanced operational efficiency. It has a maximum revenue payload capacity of over 102 metric tonnes and can fly up to 4,970 nautical miles (9,200 kilometers) with a full payload of 224,900 lbs.

Qatar Airways Cargo currently operates a fleet of 27 Boeing 777 Freighters, and the addition of the 777-8F aircraft will significantly increase its cargo capacity. The airline plans to use the new aircraft to expand its global network and meet the growing demand for air cargo services.

The deal between Qatar Airways Cargo and Boeing was announced at the Dubai Airshow 2023. The first delivery of the 777-8F aircraft to Qatar Airways Cargo is expected in 2027.
