Dangote Fertiliser Plant in Lekki Free Trade Zone
Africa's Largest Granulated Urea Fertiliser Complex
$25 Billion Investment in Nigeria's Agricultural Sector
WEB Dangote Fertiliser Limited (DFL) has invested $25 billion to establish Africa's largest Granulated Urea Fertiliser complex in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos, Nigeria. The plant, which occupies 500 hectares of land, is designed to address the shortage of fertilisers in the country and boost agricultural productivity.
The plant's capacity to produce granulated urea fertiliser will reduce Nigeria's reliance on imports and provide farmers with affordable and timely access to essential nutrients for crop growth. The company aims to stem the problem of low per hectare fertiliser usage in the country, which has been a major constraint to agricultural yields.
